Sankofa for kids at Pier 39's Aquarium By The Ba

Marie Harrison Community Foundation, Inc. celebrated Sankofa for kids at Pier 39's Aquarium By The Bay, on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Earth Month is almost over, and Sankofa has art and activities related to healing the planet. Arieann Harrison gave out starter plants to improve the air quality inside their homes and handed out flyers for the Marie Harrison Environmental Scholarship to families and friends. Kids will nurture the plants before replanting. Angelique Tompkins, started the Sankofa event 5 years ago, and it's only grown in popularity. Teaching while having fun. A special shout out to the Lynx Sorority Group for making sure that MHCF were involved in this event.
